Looks good! (And the post just before it as well). Maki. I'm still a bit of a novice with Japanese food but I'm learning. At the moment, sashimi is my thing - and the wonderful miso soup. I like the meat dishes too. And ... stop, I'm getting hungry again. En famille, we go to a lovely Japanese restaurant nearby which is our benchmark for others.
and to you too. maki rolls, as far as i can make out are seaweed rolls of rice with only one other ingredient, either salmon, cucumber or tuna - the more popular types.
there is a fabulous chain called benihana which does a teppanyaki (grill) show in front of its diners with a well trained chef/entertainer. it's great with the kids.
i tried on the autumn clothes in my wardrobe and hated what i saw in the mirror. some of my cords, well, i couldn't even get into them - granted they were size 10 ... i hate the belly roll on me and fantasize about a tummy tuck. but know that i won't go there.
so this blog is about food, the less of it eaten by me the better. although others in the household will not go without and luckily we all live with a professional chef.
